We advocate for the BYOB philosophy—bring your own bucket, reusable bag, and gloves to minimize waste. Join us at Dana Point Harbor, Baby Beach, Dana Point, CA 92629 to make a tangible impact. During the first hour, participants can enjoy a refreshing yoga session on the grass, followed by a comprehensive beach cleanup between 9 AM and 10:30 AM. Every piece of trash you collect plays a crucial role in protecting marine habitats. To conclude, participants are invited to a Lunch & Learn session featuring our second Clothing Swap, creating a platform for sustainable fashion practices.

Supporting Community Efforts: Doheny State Beach Cleanup

On the same date, April 18, 2025, from 8 AM to 11 AM, you can also help contribute to the community with a Beach & Creek Cleanup at Doheny State Beach. Located just north of the lifeguard station, this event urges participants to help in cleaning local waterways while promoting a zero-waste initiative. Though supplies will be provided, bringing your own cleanup materials—such as recycled bags and gloves—will help in achieving our zero-waste goal. Your involvement aids in preserving the natural beauty of our beaches and creates a cleaner environment for generations to come.

Earth Day Cruise with Dana Wharf

Looking ahead, save the date for the Earth Day Cruise with Dana Wharf on April 22, 2026. This special event encourages awareness and appreciation of our natural world. Dana Wharf Sportfishing and Whale Watching invites you on an exclusive whale-watching trip from 5 PM to 7 PM, hosted by Vicki Patterson, the founder of Stand Up to Trash. This endeavor brings together like-minded individuals passionate about preserving our earth’s resources. Community Connection: Stewardship Saturday at Crystal Cove State Park

Prior to our beach cleanup events, on April 11, 2026, from 8 AM to 11:30 AM, volunteers are encouraged to participate in Stewardship Saturday at Crystal Cove State Park. This hands-on habitat restoration project is open to everyone and focuses on advancing critical restoration efforts throughout the park. You will engage in various activities such as site preparation, weeding, and planting, helping to maintain the park’s natural beauty. The event encourages participants ages 16 and up; minors must be accompanied by adults. Make sure to secure your spot—registration is capped at 20 participants. Celebrating Arbor Day and Earth Day Together

This April, you can also join the Arbor Day Celebration on April 14, 2026, starting at 5 PM in Central Park, La Palma. Hosted by the Community Activities & Beautification (CAB) Committee, this family-friendly event features children’s art displays, crafts, and the annual planting of a new tree. Celebrate this season of renewal and growth while encouraging young minds to connect with nature.

Following Arbor Day, come together for the Earth Day & Arbor Day Celebration on April 25, 2026, between 8 AM and 12 PM. Volunteers will plant trees and shrubs along Oso Creek Trail, promoting environmental stewardship in our community. A Green Expo will accompany the festivities, showcasing eco-friendly activities, pollution prevention tips, and recycling information. Parking will be available at Marguerite Aquatics Complex, with complimentary shuttle service to the event location.

Earth Day at the Bay: A Family-Friendly Celebration
