An Assistant Public Defender, Scott Sanders, has filed a motion alleging that LeFlore intentionally listened in on private conversations between inmate Taylor Camuferguson and his defense attorney, Jon Andersen, back in 2017. However, the response from the Orange County District Attorney’s Office has been somewhat ambiguous, as spokesperson Kimberly Edds indicated that the office does not directly respond to Pitchess motions and referred inquiries to the county counsel’s office. Compounding the issues surrounding this case are the allegations of retaliation. Sanders contends that LeFlore may have targeted Camuferguson due to a perception that he was aware of the misconduct.
