Daniel Bui: A New Era in Law Enforcement

Daniel Bui’s journey to becoming a police officer was a natural progression for him, as his family expected nothing less. On January 19, Bui graduated alongside 42 fellow recruits from the Orange County Sheriff’s Regional Training Academy in Tustin, officially becoming a sworn police officer. His graduating class, consisting of officers from 14 different agencies, highlights the collaborative spirit of law enforcement in Orange County, bringing together community and family values at its core.

After leaving the military, Bui took a detour into healthcare as an Emergency Medical Technician and a licensed vocational nurse, experiences that ultimately fanned the flames of his initial ambition to serve as a police officer.

Upon joining the training academy, he proved to be exceptionally talented, finishing first in firearms training and ranking tenth overall in his class.
