Raising Cane’s Opens at Universal Studios Hollywood CityWalk: What to Expect

On December 10, 2025, at 10 AM, the popular fried chicken finger restaurant, Raising Cane’s, officially opened its doors at Universal Studios Hollywood’s CityWalk. This new establishment takes over the former Dongpo Kitchen space, strategically located across from the movie theaters and the Five Towers stage. The opening is much anticipated, especially given Raising Cane’s expanding presence in the Los Angeles area Learn more here.

Grand Opening Celebration

To celebrate its opening, Raising Cane’s offered exciting rewards for its first 100 customers who purchased Combos. Each one received a commemorative hat and a free Box Combo Card that could be redeemed on a future visit. This promotional strategy not only generates buzz but also encourages repeat visits. From 10 AM to 3 PM, patrons could also enjoy the talent of a caricature artist providing complimentary drawings. The official ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 AM marked the brand’s commitment to bringing joy and good food to the Los Angeles community.

New Additions at CityWalk

Raising Cane’s is not alone in enhancing CityWalk’s appeal. In recent months, the area has welcomed several new stores and restaurants. Notably, the NBA Store has taken over the former Abercrombie space, while acclaimed chef Tony Gemignani launched Slice House in the previous Sparky’s location. Additionally, Insomnia Cookies plans to open next year across from Slice House, and a Korean BBQ restaurant is anticipated in the former Johnny Rockets spot. These developments make CityWalk a vibrant hub for food lovers and shoppers alike.

Enhancements in Security

A significant change on the horizon for CityWalk is the new security screening hub currently under construction. This initiative aims to integrate CityWalk into Universal’s security perimeter, akin to the process in Orlando. While there is currently no official opening date for the security hub, this enhancement will improve guest safety and convenience, making CityWalk an even more attractive destination for visitors.

Fast Expansion of Raising Cane’s

Raising Cane’s has been on an aggressive expansion spree throughout the Los Angeles area. Known for its simple menu focusing predominantly on chicken fingers, Cane’s has proven to be a hit among locals and tourists. The chain’s success can be attributed to its high-quality food and efficient service. As it continues to grow nationwide, the opening at Universal CityWalk is another step in its journey to become a household name.

Conclusion: A Must-Visit Destination

The grand opening of Raising Cane’s at Universal Studios Hollywood’s CityWalk marks an exciting addition to the already vibrant scene. Between the generous opening day promotions, the variety of other new offerings, and forthcoming enhancements like the security hub, CityWalk is on track to become the go-to destination for food and entertainment in Los Angeles. Whether you are a local resident or a tourist, visiting Raising Cane’s should definitely be on your list when you explore Universal Studios Hollywood.
