Though they have yet to capture the title, the Patriots are squarely in the mix this season, trailing first-place El Camino Real by only one game. The Patriots showcased their prowess in a decisive victory over Granada Hills, securing an 8-0 win. The standout performance came from pitcher Carlos Acuna, who dominated the mound with six innings of play, allowing just one hit and striking out an impressive eleven batters. In addition to his stellar pitching, Acuna also contributed offensively, registering two hits during the game. Supporting players, Sebastian Valadez and Toni Mendoza, each contributed two hits and two RBIs, solidifying the team’s offensive strength. This recent success demonstrates the team’s potential as they prepare for a key two-game series against El Camino Real starting April 29.
